How to: Edit 1099 Coding on Transactions

Edit 1099 coding within a specific transaction. To find specific transactions an All Transactions with 1099 Filter can be generated.

Run an All Paid Transactions with 1099 Filter

Step 1: Click + to the right of Accounting Reports on the left navigation.

Step 2: Select T4A/1099 REPORTS from the Category drop down menu.

Step 3: Select All Paid Transactions with 1099 Filter OR All Paid Transactions with 1099 Filter (Cross Projects) from the Report Type drop-down menu.

If you are running the All Paid Transactions with 1099 Filter (Cross Projects), select the projects from the Projects filter.

Step 4: Enter the date range for the applicable 1099 tax year.

Step 5: Click QUEUE REPORT.

Step 6: Click VIEW REPORTS MONITOR.

Step 7: Download and review the report to identify any transactions that need 1099 coding changes.

Open the All Transactions with 1099 Filter to identify transactions that need to be tagged with a 1099 code. Once you've identified the transactions, proceed with the steps below.

Edit 1099 Coding on Transactions

Step 1: Go to the transaction grid on the left navigation (in this article a bill will be used as an example).

Step 2: On the desired transaction, click ACTIONS and then VIEW IN NEW TAB.

Step 3: Click EDIT

Step 4: Select the appropriate 1099 code from the 1099/T4A drop down menu.

Step 5: Click save to apply the change(s).
